Extra Soul Perception is an artist-first social enterprise that uses an equitable model for cross-cultural collaboration to connect, empower, and support musical creativity around the world. Through writing camps, tours, label releases, publishing, and sync, we create new creative opportunities for independent musicians.

ESP. Kilifi will facilitate the creation of world-class music through a new creative partnership between visionary UK and Kenyan artists. Fauzia, IZCO, Jkarri, and Yazmin Lacey will attend a week-long residency in February 2024 at Baobab Studio, a 50-acre artist community site nestled in Kilifi Creek on the Kenyan Coast, where they will collaborate with over 15 Kenyan artists.
The residency will be followed by live performances in Kilifi and London, and a series of free-access music production workshops and fundraisers across the UK all aimed at young aspiring producers. The culmination of the project will be the release of a compilation album and a bespoke sample pack of sounds recorded with groups and individuals along the Kenyan coast, which will be distributed across UK schools and education providers as an innovative creative learning tool.
